My Shopping Trip: Stop & Shop – Paid $1.17

I was a brave girl yesterday when I went to Stop & Shop.  I decided to do 2 instant savings deals at one time and use a coupon for each item.  I figured I would see what happened.  Plus I had my lucky charm with me, my hubby Pat.  Things always go smoothly when he comes with me.  I’m not sure why, but they do.

The combo of coupons I used was simply because that is what I had printed.  I have this bad habit of printing one coupon to check it out before I post it and then I forget to print the rest.  Then, they are gone by the time I realize I forgot to print them.

Here is what I did:

5 Smuckers Jelly $1.99 each
4 Clorox Bleach $1.88 each
-(4)$0.75/1 Smuckers Coupon
-(1)$0.55/1 Smuckers Coupon from the 8/7 RP insert
-(1)$0.25/1 Clorox Bleach Coupon (NLA)
-(1)$1/3 Clorox Coupon from the 8/21 SS insert
-$5 instant savings Smuckers
-$3 instant savings Clorox
Tax: $0.30
$1.17

When I went to scan the 4th Smuckers $0.75/1 coupon, the $5 added back on.  At first the cashier and manager weren’t sure why that happened until I told them, then they were nice enough to just reimburse me for the coupon.

So, this did not go super smooth, however, it ended up to be pretty sweet.  And, in the end, my lucky charm worked.

Next, I’m going to do the Formula 409 Deal.
