Even More Ways to Save
Zero to Stockpile
It’s week number five of Zero to Stockpile and it’s another good one.
Thankfully I did most of my shopping at the very beginning of the week because I wound up with some kind of stomach bug which is why this post is a little delayed. But, I’m feeling much better now…just a little behind in my work both at home and here.
But, guys, not only am I way way below my $200 a week budget, I also bought 40 lbs of boneless chicken. I don’t have the chicken yet to put in my freezer but no worries for me because I’m still sitting with about 25 lbs to eat up before I pick up my order in April. At $0.99/lb I couldn’t pass that up.
Although it seems like I may be almost ready to end the Zero to Stockpile Challenge, I’m not done yet. There are still things needed in my stockpile so there may be times, in the next few weeks, that my spending may spike a little bit in order to stock up. But, honestly, I don’t ever expect to be back up to the $200 spending. I anticipate I’ll be floating around $75 – $125 each week for the next few weeks. My goal is to be at my old budget of $75 each and every week (maybe even less than that) at around week twelve.
Here are the items I still need to stock up on. Some of these items I already have in my stockpile but would prefer to have more:
- Coffee
- Almond Butter
- Bacon – Nitrate Free (stocking up on Sunday)
- Canned Tuna
- Mouthwash
- Butter
- Paper Plates
- Napkins
- Nuts
- Dish Soap
- Tomato Paste
- Ground Turkey (stocking up Sunday)
- Cleaning Supplies (stocking up Sunday)
- English Muffins (stocking up Sunday)
- Foil
- Band-Aids
- Brown Rice
- Dental Floss
- Mouth Wash
- Tissues
Hope your stockpile is getting bigger and your grocery spending is smaller.
