Nivea Catalina Deal February 2019 –
UPDATE AS OF 2/3/19 AT 1:30PM – We are getting more and more reports of the catalina working. My guess is, the stores and/or Catalina Marketing are acting quicker this week after last week’s disaster. So, we are marking this as confirmed but, please note, that there may be some stores still not working.
UPDATE: AS OF 2/3/19 AT 12:45pm – We are getting reports of some stores working (see comments below). Remember, like last week, a ton of stores didn’t work at the beginning of the week, while some were working. As the week went on, more and more stores started to work. We will continue to update as we get more information.
Here is a list of stores working:
- Cinnaminson New Jersey
- Cherry Hill-Evesham Rd.
- Poughkeepsie, NY
- Aberdeen NJ
As many of you know we were scheduled to have a Buy $20 Get a $5 Catalina on select Nivea products. Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, AGAIN, but the Nivea Catalina deals scheduled for this week are not working.
We headed out this morning to test the deal, as we do every Sunday. Unfortunately, the deal is not working….at all, AGAIN, leaving us exactly where we were last week.
This time, we tried only 2 scenarios to determine what the problem was and came up completely empty. It’s not working on sale or self prices.
This week, when I tested it on sale price, I headed to customer service. Like last week, they tried to scan the catalina book barcode and it did not generate a catalina so I was issued a gift card. So, like last week, the fact that they can not even push a catalina through means it’s not being programed at all the stores. They were quick to acknowledge that they needed to submit an incident report to Catalina Marketing.
I know it’s frustrating when you are trying to shop and I’m not sure why this is happening, especially 2 weeks in a row. But, we wanted to alert you that you , most likely, will not get this catalina shopping at your store right now.
I’m hoping this week, this fix goes quicker than last week. (fingers crossed)
Here is what we tried:
- Based on Pre-Price Plus Prices: Bought 2 Eucerin Cream Tube 8 oz & 5 Nivea Lip Balm
- Based on Sale Prices : Bought 4 Nivea Lotion 16.9 oz & 3 Nivea Lip Balm
So what are your options at this point?
- If you would like to do the deal right away, then base your transaction on the sale price so you can easily go to customer service and get your catalina (or in this case a gift card…see above). Customer service, at the store, will look at your receipt to see that you met the catalina requirements based on sale price as that is how the store views the offer. Remember, Catalina Marketing, views it at the pre-price plus prices, not ShopRite. I’m not sure, at this point, if Catalina Marketing is actually showing the complete deal on their end right now.
- You can try to do the deal as we had originally posted and then submit to Catalina Marketing, however, as I mentioned above, I’m not sure how it’s in the system right now at Catalina Marketing. If they don’t see it in their system, they will not process your catalina.
- Wait it out. There may just be an issue with the deal in the system on ShopRite’s end or even on Catalina Marketing’s end that just need to be corrected. Hopefully, that fix will be done quickly.
Keep us updated!
Let us know, in the comments below, if you tried the deal and how it went. Please include, what you bought, including varieties, and how many you bought. And also, include the store you shop at as this may have an impact as well. We will update with a new post once we know the deal is fully working.
