Even More Ways to Save
Zero to Stockpile
It’s time to party! For me anyway and hopefully for you too. It’s week #8 of the Zero to Stockpile challenge and I’m finally at, actually below, my original budget.
Eight weeks guys! That’s all it took.
Having just about everything I need, with a few exceptions, it’s so easy to save each week. All I need to buy are the freebie items here and there to fill in my stockpile, produce and maybe a few extra items to stock up on.
I hope, through this process, which, by the way, isn’t completed yet, you can see how the stockpile truly controls your spending.
What I Gave Up
I’m happy to report that, once again, there is nothing we needed to give up.
How I Shopped
Another super easy week of shopping for me. I shopped on Sunday at ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Best Market (my local market) and CVS. There were a lot of great produce prices at Best Market this week so I didn’t feel the need to head to Aldi. However, they have some awesome prices on produce as well that you will want to check out.
My Plan for Next Week
I have had a busy end of this week so I honestly haven’t had the chance to look yet. And, because there are just a few things I need, I don’t feel the rush. I can take my time and browse the deals at my own pace.
I will be starting to stock up on Corned Beef. Since the day after St Patrick’s day is my husband birthday, we kinda make a big deal about St. Patrick’s Day.
How I Challenged Myself This Week
If you aren’t following me on social media, you probably don’t know that my word for 2018 is Challenge. This year is my year to challenge myself on things I’ve been afraid to try, haven’t put the time in to try or even things I never thought I could or would do. This week, my challenges fell into the category of “haven’t put the time in to try”.
- Stay under my original $75 a week budget – And I did it! So excited about this. I’m looking forward in about 4 more weeks to permanently reduce my budget back to $75. My husband will be quite happy too 😉
Now It’s Your Turn
So, now it’s your turn. How did your week go? Did you have goals you wanted to reach? Did you reach them? Did you stock up on some important items your family needs? Did you challenge yourself with any new challenges or any of the ones I posted during the past two weeks?
