ShopRite Stores No Longer Double Coupons
Over the last couple of weeks, there have been rumors flying around, in our ShopRite Couponers Facebook Group, of the possibility of ShopRite stores no longer doubling coupons. As always, in an effort to provide you with the most up to date information regarding ShopRite, we reached out to our sources for more info. And here is what we found out.
Starting March 4th, select ShopRite stores will no longer be doubling coupons. The stores included are all located in New York and are the following (5) stores located in Ulster and Sullivan counties:
- Liberty, NY
- Monticello, NY
- Ellenville, NY
- Kingston, NY
- New Paltz, NY
These stores will continue to accept paper manufacturer coupons in accordance with its posted coupon policy.
I know this is upsetting to those that shop at those stores but as always, when change happens, it’s an adjustment period. You can still continue to enjoy the low prices and digital coupon offers that ShopRite has to offer. But, maybe this will push you to research other options in your area. A quick search shows the following options for some of the locations:
- Monticello, NY: offers Walmart and an Aldi (we will be adding these sales to our site soon)
- Ellenville, NY: offers Walmart
- Kinston, NY: offers Hannaford, Aldi and Walmart
- New Paltz, NY: offers Tops and Hannaford
While, I love ShopRite, and my store still fully doubles, I do shop at different stores to find the best prices for items I need for my family. It’s always good to have options and maybe, for some of you, this will encourage you to find those options. Who knows, maybe you’ll be surprised at what else is out there.
Our ShopRite match ups will continue to show fully doubled coupons. Just as those stores in areas that do not fully double have to adjust the final prices, those of you in the above New York stores will have to just adjust yours not to double at all.
We have tried, in the past, to offer different variations of the coupon values in our match ups, but, it just didn’t get used enough for us to warrant the time it took to do additional match ups.
