Crock Pot Pasta Sauce Recipe
This Crock Pot Pasta Sauce recipe is to prepare, put everything into the crock pot and 8 hours later you’ll have scrumptious pasta sauce for dinner. This recipe makes about 2 quarts of sauce. If you have any extra sauce, it freezes great.
The only part of this recipe that takes a little time is browning the ground meat. When I buy large quantities of ground meat, I will brown one pound portions and then freeze it. If I don’t have time to brown meat when I am making this sauce, I’ll use one of my packages from the freezer.

- 1 lb ground beef turkey or chicken (browned)
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
- 2 - 4 garlic cloves minced
- 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- salt and additional pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in Crock Pot. Cover and cook for 8 - 9 hours on low or 4 - 5 hours on high.

Makes approximately 2 quarts of sauce.
