Cindy’s Shopping Trip
Oh my do I love shopping trips like this one. Honestly, it just rocked!
Sitting in my wallet was a $15 store reward for buying gas cards last week. And I also had (2)$5 Catalinas from buying 2 packs of Panera Gift Cards earlier in the week. Remember, for me these offers are straight money makers because I plan every year for these offers and set aside money for them. The money for the gas card purchase came out of my gas envelope and the money for the Panera cards came out of my restaurant envelope.
With ShopRite having a pretty awesome price on boneless chicken this week at just $1.77/lb, I decided to stock up on some of that. I also, took advantage of the energizer battery money maker with the bunny bucks rebate and the awesome $0.80/1 Energizer Coupon that is available right now.
Then to wrap up my trip, I also purchased a Best Buy Gift Card pack and received another $5 catalina. We are going to be buying a Christmas gift at Best Buy this coming week so this money came out of my Christmas budget.
A question I always get is what do I do with rebates and rewards? Do I include those in my grocery envelope. The answer is yes! I put all that money right back into my envelope. So, you’ll see rewards used and added in my breakdown below as well as the cash that I actually used out of pocket.
Here are my breakdowns:
Amount leftover from last transaction (includes rewards & rebates) | $264.34 |
Amount added for new week (added every Sunday) | $0 |
Total Amount available for shopping (includes rewards & rebates) | $264.34 |
Cash used out of pocket | $12.94 |
Rewards Used | $25 |
Rewards & Rebates Earned | $21 |
Amount left in envelope (including Rewards & Rebates | $247.40 |
