WBGO Free Kids Jazz Concert Series Presents “Hangin’ With The Giants”
Cost: FREE
Description: A fun, high-energy program designed to promote the inclusiveness and accessibility of jazz while highlighting the legacies and music of some of the art form’s central contributors. Staged as a late night talk show, Hangin’ with the Giants features animated likenesses of jazz greats like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Dizzy Gillespie. This season’s five multi-media concert experiences for kids feature The Metta Quintet, the resident ensemble of JazzReach. The free and interactive, hour-long concerts give kids opportunities to learn about a new jazzy theme each Saturday and will take place in Essex County, NJ. Q&A sessions with the artists, small gifts, and a chance to win a prize, are just some of the reasons to come out and join us! Full series runs Saturdays March 28th to May 2nd , calendar at www.wbgo.org/kids . This concert includes free admission to the Montclair Art Museum following the performance The concerts are free and open to the general public. Tickets are handed out in the lobby of each venue on the day of performance only and on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot guarantee seats prior to each program, except for groups with reservations. Adults must be accompanied by a child. All venues are handicapped accessible.

Scouts In Kayaks In-Water Demos
Cost: FREE
Description: SCOUTS IN KAYAKS: IN-WATER DEMOS at the Jersey Paddler’s Paddlesport 2015. For Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts 10-18 years old. This Scouts pool session will cover instruction on how to properly wear a PFD, as well as the forward, reverse, sweep and draw strokes followed by each Scout practicing these strokes in a kayak. Boy Scouts can have their BSA Kayaking Merit Badge worksheets reviewed. All equipment will be provided for the session, including kayaks, paddles, and PFDs (personal floatation devices), as well as splash jackets and paddle pants to keep clothes dry. This session is free. Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Cost: FREE
Description: The time has come for Jenkinson’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, the unofficial 2015 Season kickoff event! The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Palm Sunday, March 29th at 1pm. The Easter Egg Hunt is a free event held on the beach, open to children up to 10 years old. Please, no digging utensils or shovels. Limit three eggs per child – share the fun with everyone!
BEACH LOCATIONS: 0 – 4 year olds: in front of Jenkinson’s Aquarium; 5 – 6 & 7 – 8 year olds: in front of Frank’s Fun Center; 9 – 10 year olds: in front of Jenkinson’s Amusement Park
