Holy smokes check out this deal at Stop & Shop!  Through TODAY 2/19 ONLY, Stop & Shop has Cracker Barrel Cheese on Sale for $1.99 each when you buy 3.

We told you about this sale when we posted the new Cracker Barrel Coupons earlier this week.  Well it turns out there is some sort of Scan-It Promotion beyond the $1.99 sale price.  There have been reports and we confirmed it ourselves today that when you buy 3 Cracker Barrel Cheese Blocks using Scan-It, the first one rings up at $2.50 and the other two ring up at -$0.70.  Yes, negative $0.70.

We have tried to figure out if there is an additional promotion for Scan-It or what is causing the items to ring up this way.  To be quite frank, we can’t figure out exactly the logic behind this promotion.  Reader Michelle bought 3 Cracker Barrel Cheese using Scan-It and the first rang up at $2.50 and the remaining two rang up at -$0.70.  Our Stop & Shop specialist Loretta bought 6 and as expected, the first rang up at $2.50 but unexpectedly, the remaining 5 rang up at -$0.70.  Crazy!

But wait!  We have coupons too, remember!

When Loretta used her coupons on the 6 bars she bought, all scanned fine with no cashier intervention.  You MUST have additional items in your cart to absorb that much overage, as you cannot receive cash back of course.

If you don’t have any coupons available, you can buy 6 Cracker Barrel Blocks for FREE + $1.00 overage so make sure you have extra items in your cart!
