5 Meals for Under $30 at Walmart
What’s for dinner this week? How many times a week do you ask yourself that question! Check out our menu and recipes for this week. We are basing our menu on the great deals that you can pick up this week at Walmart. Everything can be purchased at Walmart and your cost will be less than $30! Our recipes are geared for a family of four, unless otherwise noted. That’s an average of $6 per meal or $1.50 per serving. How awesome is that!
You might find that you already have some of the items listed on the shopping list in your stock pile so your out of pocket cost will be even less! Just so you know, some prices may vary at your local Walmart.

- Green, red and/or yellow bell peppers – 2 medium
- Onion – 1 medium
- Frozen peas – 1/2 cup
- Alfredo Sauce – 1 jar
- Linguine or spaghetti – 8 ounces

Total Cost: approximately $5.95 (serves 8)
Ingredients you will need for this recipe:
- Smoked Sausage

- Chili beans – 2 cans
- Diced tomatoes – 1 can (14.5 ounces)

Total Cost: approximately $5.27
Ingredients you will need for this recipe:
- Pollock fillets – 1 lb.
- 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil – 4 tablespoons
- Garlic – 4 cloves
- Lemon pepper – 2 teaspoon
- Lemon wedges

Ingredients you will need for this recipe:
- Betty Crocker Scalloped Potatoes
- Chicken Breast – 10 oz.
- Milk – 3/4 cup
- Shredded Cheese – Monterey Jack – 1/3 cup
- Shredded Cheese – Cheddar – 1/3 cup
- Salsa – 1/3 cup
This recipe calls for canned chicken, we substituted boneless chicken breast instead.
