Did you know that September is National Coupon Month? We thought we could celebrate all week long with the TOP printable coupons for everything you’re looking for, some fun facts about coupons and maybe a little history lesson each day this week! 😉 We also have a surprise at the end of this post after you print all the awesome coupons!

But first, here is a little history lesson…In the early 1900’s, people were able to get discounts on cereals because of coupons, but it wasn’t until after the Great Depression that coupons really took off (which makes sense if you think about it). In the 1940’s supermarkets began to really use coupons to attract customers to their stores, which led about half of all families in the US to cut coupons by 1965. Once 1990 hit consumers were printing coupons. Couponing was on a steady climb and in 2002 Americans saved 3.8 billion dollars shopping with coupons! Couponing has been popular ever since!

Fun Couponing Facts of the Day:

  • The first grocery coupon was for Grape Nuts in 1895.
  • Only 3% of all coupons are actually used!
