Reader CJ has a question about saving money while shopping for one..

Question:

As a single person who only shops for myself, I find it hard to save as much as I see others saving. Most of the deals at the grocery stores are for buying larger quantities of items. For example $10 off when you buy $50, or get a $5 Catalina when you buy 10 items, or a coupon for $1 off 4 pizzas. I do use as many coupons as I can for the things I need. Most of my grocery trips are in the $10-30 range and I rarely need more than a couple of the same item at once (I have limited storage space). Does anyone have tips on how single people can save at the grocery?

Any tips for CJ? Do you have any suggestions on how to shop for one person and still take advantage of the deals?
