I posted these recipes last year but I wanted to share them with you again. Every Christmas I try to make 2 cookies that have been a tradition in our family for many years. It’s nice for the kids to get to experience both my husband and my family traditions from when we were kids many moons ago. So, I’d like to share our Christmas cookie recipes with you again.
My family’s tradition is to make Struffoli. These are Italian Honey Ball cookies and if you have ever watched Cake Boss you have seen Carlo’s Bakery making up batches of these delicious cookies. I only wish I had the equipment that they have at the bakery because these would be so much easier to make if I did. But, since we only make these once or twice a year, it’s not so bad as these are time consuming but oh so good. You can head over here to get my Italian Struffoli Honey Ball Recipe.
Now for my husbands Christmas Cookie tradition. He grew up with his mom making these delicious Thimble Cookies. These are so easy to make and so good. And, look so pretty on your Christmas dessert table.
When my kids were young, they used to love filling the cookies with the jam and eating some and filling some and eating some. The trick with these is to make sure you make enough because they will disappear before you get to put them out for Christmas.

So, now it’s your turn. What cookie recipes have become a Family Tradition?
