Want a way to use that new Olay $20 Rebate I just posted about?  Well, here is a deal at Target that you can take advantage on and score a nice little money maker plus some great Olay products.

There is a gift card deal on select P&G products.  The deal is buy 2 participating products and get a $5.00 Target Gift Card.  Some of the products included are:

  • Olay Refreshing Toner $2.84
  • Olay Gentle Foaming Wash with Aloe $3.50
  • Olay Foaming Face Wash $3.50

There are so many issues with using coupons with gift card deals at Target that you would be better off not even trying them with this deal.  Plus you can still score a money maker even without them.  Here is why:

When making a purchase with a gift card deal, the register will automatically deduct twice the value of the gift card offer and consider it a manufacturer coupon.  It is an “invisible” deduction and does not actually come off on the receipt, however it does not allow you to use coupons against it unless you fill up your cart with more mercandise.  Stupid, I know, but it’s the way it works.  So, in this case, if you purchase a face wash & a toner for a total of $6.34, the register would deduct an “invisible” $10 (twice the value of the gift card offer) so the register would beep and not be able to accept your 2 $1 coupon.  You can read more about it from Totally Target. If you have any questions let me know.

So, with that said, here are some deals you can do with the Olay Gift Card deal and the new $20 Rebate.  And remember, prices may vary from store to store so please be sure to check your prices before doing this deal.

So, either way, you have the same result however doing them in multiple transactions allows you to spend less out of pocket.
