Okay guys, I have a surefire way to save money at the grocery store. Spend 2 days filling out financial papers for your kids college and getting sick. Yeap, works like a charm.
I forced myself to do these two trips because the deals were so good. And they really were. At ShopRite I grabbed those Ziploc bags that were on a catalina, cheap eggs with the BOGO facebook coupon, free rice, free Right Aid, cheap salad, free TP and more. The total came to $18.93 and I was suppose to get 2 $2.00 Catalinas which did not print. One for the Ziploc and one for the Axe. Customer service issued my the $4.00 cash so my total was $14.93 for $65.54 worth of groceries and I’m submitting for my final $5.00 SC Johnson Rebate.
Then I was so excited about the GM catalina deal at Pathmark. But, I was only able to do one deal so far. I’m hoping that I can get back before Thursday to roll the $8.00 catalina I received for more free stuff.
This deal went like this:
Buy 2 Cheerios ($3.99)$2.49 each
Buy 6 Progresso Soup ($2.69) $1.25 each
Buy 2 Betty Crocker Gushers ($2.99) $1.49
Total: ($30.10)$15.46
-(2)$1/1 Cheerios Printable
-(2)$1.10 Progresso Soup Printable
-(1)$.50/2 BC Fruit Snacks Printable
Total:$10.26
Paid with a $5.00 ConAgra Catalina
Paid: $5.44 (I was charged $.18 tax and I’m not sure why)
Then received a $8.00 Catalina
Final Price: Free + $2.56 Moneymaker
See why I’m hoping to go back. There are so many other scenarios to roll that catalina.
To sum up my shopping for the week, I spent $20.37 out of pocket. I’ll get $5.00 from the Ziploc rebate and I have an $8.00 catalina. So from both stores it all cost me only $7.37 for $97.22 worth of groceries. Woohoo! That will make you feel better quick 🙂
How did you do this week?
