Cherry Cheesecake Recipe
On Presidents Day, I always think about the old cherry tree that George Washington cut down…is it a true story or false? Who knows but it has become a true American legend. Being the recipe junkie that I am my thought process goes like this…Presidents Day…George Washington and Abraham Lincoln…George Washington…cherry tree…cherry cheesecake recipe! It’s as simple as that! 😉 Just like this recipe! I have never made this recipe but I have had it many, many times! The reason being, my husband is the one who bakes it. I sure can’t complain. It’s delicious, creamy and there is not much else you need in a cheesecake!

This Cherry Cheesecake Recipe is delicious, creamy and there is not much else you need in a cheesecake!
- 16 graham crackers crushed
- 3/4 sugar
- 1/4 stick butter
- 2 8 oz cream cheese packages
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 21 oz. can cherry pie filling

Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter. Press into 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

In large bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Pour mixture over crust.

Bake 25 – 30 minutes at 350. The cheesecake will be done when the center is firm. Let cool and pour cherries on top.
